The main reason Mountain View Lodge and Marina is such a great family vacation spot is that it is a family owned, family operated and family oriented business. Blake and Leslie Holleman bought Mountain View in May 2006, but they certainly aren't the only members of the Holleman clan you'll find when you visit. Blake's Mom, Arleta Gary (we just call her Granny) is usually working in the convenience store. You will generally find Blake and Leslie's 15 year old son Travis and a few of his fellow Brownwood Lions working around the lodge or marina, following Blake's marching orders. You will have to look a little harder to find the Holleman daughters. Alisha is working hard to receive her RN degree in May 2007. Kristin and her husband, Doug Howard live in San Diego, California with the pride of the Holleman family, 1 year old granddaughter Rylee. Doug is a marine stationed at Camp Pendleton.

When Blake and Leslie bought the property, they committed to maintaining the family atmosphere that has made Mountain View such a popular vacation destination. At the same time, they are constantly improving the existing facilities. This summer you will find upgraded boat slips and gas pump area, boat storage with launch service, great pit BBQ 7 days a week, a well stocked convenience store with snack foods, fountain drinks and many of the necessities you find yourself needing on vacation.
